A message from the mayor
Welcome to Nottatown. We may be one of the smallest towns in North Carolina, but we have kept our town going since 1887 and our festival going since 1855, and we are proud of both.
Nottatown is a farming town first. Our fields and our families are the heart of this place. Each October, though, we open the granary green to everyone and remember the barn cats that saved our seed corn in the Rat Winter. If you have never been to the Cat Worship Festival, I hope this is the year you come. Bring your appetite for the Harvest Supper, and if you have a good barn cat, bring it for the Parade.
Our Town Council meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM in the Grange Hall. Residents are always welcome.
Lou Pholes
Mayor, Town of Nottatown (since 2015)
